What are the chances for more than two mature follicles? I was on Clomid 50mg from CD 3-5. On CD 11 my US showed that follicles on the right ovary are 17, 12, 11, 3<10 mm and follicles on the left ovary are 18, 12, 12, 4<8 mm. He had me trigger the next day (CD 12) in the AM. He said I may ovulate on CD 13 but most likely on CD 14. I know that the two largest ones would be right size on ovulation, but what about the smaller ones?

Your chance of multiple follicles are higher with clomid.. the 17 and 18mm follicles sound like winners but i have never had a follicle bigger than 12mm on CD12 (when monitored by my RE) and therefore have never o'd. Normally only one egg is released anyway... Good luck with the other two follicles though!"

On my fourth round of clomid just recently I got a pos preg test. My doc had told me I have two follicles.? One follicle on each ovary. I had the hcg trigger shot, and since both follicles were mature, what do you think my chances that it's twins are? I have pcos but I have a normal bmi. I just wasn't ovulating so I'm wondering if that means the trigger shot triggered both, and if that means it's probably twins. My husband had a semen analysis done and they said his guys are great. Anyone, I know it's a matter of opinion but let me know what you think! I go to the dr. on the 26th. Also, I got a positive preg urine test 10 days before my period normally would come. (My cycle is 35 days) But because I had the trigger shot, it may have put me on ovulation track for a 28 day cycle which would mean it was only 4 days positive before period.

*4 months ttc* replied: "there's a good chance that one of them have released an egg and the other one collapsed to support the more dominant follicle...if both were released, you have a chance of getting twins... you should have at least had sex 2 days before they ruptured, that way you have a good chance of fertilizing them..."

First round of clomid - had scan done - day 11, one follicle - at 15mm, a good sign? i just completed first round clomid only starting on 50mgs.. days 5-9.. only at day 11 and had my scan, no follicles on left ovary and only 1 on right which is 15mm.. the dr said that they grow approx 2 mm a day and i should ovulate in 3-4 days... what r the chances of pregnancy, anyone in the same position as me..? is it good that i even have 1 and is 1 good enough to fall pregnant or is best 2 have two mature follicles.. thanks, hoping this could be the month, and be lucky first time on clomid. also wondering when women say clomid doesnt work for them are they not showing any mature follicles or they have follicles but still dont get pregnant.. or a little of both perhaps! wish me luck for this month.. heres hoping i ovulate and have some good news in approx 15-17 days time! thanks! heres hoping it will be this month, if not.. then the month after!!

Clomid..Please help..follicle size? I had my ultrasound on cycle day 10. I took 50 mg clomid on day 3-7. I do not have pcos..I ovulate on my own. Aligail replied: "hmm...I took 3 months of 50mg Clomid days 3-7 but they always did the ultrasound on CD17....thats when I would get the trigger shot...and CD21 I would come to get blood work to check my levels (I have ovulated every month)...Im not sure but CD10 sounds alil early? LH Surge????? I am on clomid IInd round and ttc.On 22 april, I went for follicle monitoring(CD10). doc said follicle are of good size and ready to ovulate.She also did a ovulation kit test and saw two lines very dark. She told me I will be ovulating in next 24-48 hours. But today 25 apr, I went for foollicle rupture. Docs saw two mature follicle in sonogram.Again she did OPK and tested positve for ovulation. My question is .... Is it possible not to ovulate after getting OPK positive ? I mean Is it possible to ovulate after 2-4 days of getting positive OPK. Since I have two follicle now, what are my chances of having twins?

Rene A replied: "Yes it is possible- that is why OPKs are not reliable. The OPK only tests for the lutenizing hormone (LH) surge that preceeds ovulation. They do not tell you when and if your body succeeded in ovulating. When you see an LH surge it means that your body is trying to ovulate- that it. It doesn't even mean that you will succeed in ovulating that cycle."

This could be a good thing because your follicles had more time to grow, having two good size follicles is GREAT!!! and yes it probably does make having twins more likely but the chances are still about 10 %. how much can follicles grow in two days? hello everybody, I am on Clomid 50mg from day 5-9. I had my u/s today and my biggest follicles is 13mm (day11) and I will have another u/s two days later. my ob hopes it will grow until 18mm to be mature enough to perform IUI. Will it grow that much for two days thanks alot everybody, today is my day13 I already reach 18mm. unfortunately my doctor informed me I already ovulated therefore this month is pointless to do IUI. I am very sad that I miss it..

Hcg shot Thursday still no rise in bbt? ? ? ? Thursday my ultrasound showed two mature follicles so I triggered Thursday. I know its supposed to make you ovulate anywhere from 12-36 hours later but I still have no rise in my bbt. Actually its been much lower than normal around 97.5. Does this mean I didn't ovulate? Iam on 100mg clomid and 2000 met and have pcos

starcatcher replied: "An hcg shot can make you ovulate as early as 12 hours but also as late as 48 hours. So you may have ovulated on Saturday. And the temp rise occurs 1-2 days after you ovulate (not before or during) so you may get a rise tomorrow."

22-26mm follicles and ovulating today? My husband and I had intercouse last night (no semen release) and this morning (lots of semen release). I have four follicles that are mature, two of which are between 22-26mm today and a third that is 18-22mm also. According to the ovulation calendar I will ovulate today. I feel like my chances for getting pregnant are pretty high. We plan on doing the dance again tonight. I have been tracking my temperature and it was still low this morning. I know that its not going to rise until a day or two after ovulation. I have not been tracking my CM as I was on Clomid and I know that it can alter a woman's CM. My questions is, has anyone had an experience and timed their pregnancy like this. Did it work for you? We feel better good about this round!! My doctor measured them on Thursday. Follicles typically grow 1-3mm a day. I'm under 35.
