can you fail a drug test for cocaine taking hydrocodone and carisoprodol? i've been taking hydrocodone and carisoprodol for about eight months since my back surgery for pain perscribed by my doctor is it possible to fail a drug test for cocaine?

ReggieR replied: "I'm not sure who you did the drug test for, put many places have a way to confirm at test. Cocaine will not show up on Hydrocodone (opiates) and Carisoprodol (Soma) should not show up. If this it for a legal case I would ask if they could do a confirmation. If it for employment, unless you are willing to hire an attorney you may be out of luck. You could try calling a lab like Smith Kline and ask them if soma would show up as cocaine, But in all my years of conducting Urinalysis I must say I have never seen this. God Bless ReggieR"

mysti replied: "I agree with Reggie. Hydrocodone is not in the drug class as cocaine, but it will show up as an opiate. A standard tox screen will test for several types of drugs and includes cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, barbiturates, cannabis, benzodiazipines, among a few others. If you have a legit prescription for the hydrocodone, you have nothing to worry about on that one (opiates). As far as carisoprodol (soma), that drug doesn't show up on a routine drug test. So if you haven't done cocaine, you're fine. Be sure and tell them you have a script for the hydro."

jemunns replied: "Getting insufficient sleep can actually make the side effects of any medications you take the following day more apparent. I have taken soma on a few occasions, though not 3 at a time. I take them one at a time and the effects of the medication work just as well for me. They do make you feel a little spaced out and in lala land, as well as feeling like you can do anything and conquer anything in the world. However, some people I know that are prescribed them take 3-5 at a time and they feel the same way as I do. They feel like superman or catwoman for several hours and then they come down from them abruptly, usually without any added sleepiness or anything."

Is it safe to mix Carisoprodol with Hydrocodone? The Carisoprodol is a muscle relaxer I think, and it says to take one every night before bed. And then the hydrocodone is take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed. They were both prescribed by different doctors..can I take them both together? Oh I just read on the carisoprodol container that it's substituted for Soma. I don't know if that helps, I've never heard of either one of them lol.
