what is the danger from a disassembled nb-lithium ion battery? I was trying to get a Canon NB-LI battery out of a charger it was stuck in, and it ripped open. Nothing spilled out, but it smells terrible. What is this smell, am I about to drop dead, and what is the safest way to dispose of this batter/charger now that it's obviously destroyed?

Canon Camera battery compatibility CONFUSED? I have a Canon Powershot SD 600 that uses a Lithium-ion Battery NB-4L. I been checking one of the newer models SD 770 that uses a Lithium-ion Battery NB-6L instead. Both batteries look the same but of course one has more power to it. Will I be able to use the Lithium-ion Battery NB-6L on my older camera one or the other way around?

Can universal digital camera battery chargers harm your camera? I have a canon powershot sd630 but, I have lost my battery charger. It was the canon NB-4l lithium ion battery charger. Now I'm really low on cash and I need a charger for my camera. I know universal chargers are compatible with my charger and are relly cheap on ebay. But i'm afraid it may harm my camera, does anyone know if it will?

Let's say it's 3.7v at 900mAh, then the charger should have the same specs. All chargers have specs printed on them somewhere. Odds are that any charger for the NB-4I will be within the specs. Avoid anything without specs.
The battery can't harm your camera unless it's charged incorrectly, and since it takes a few hours to charge a battery you'd probably mess the battery up before you put it in the camera. Just match them ...3.7v and 900mAh should be on the charger"
Affordable digital cameras that run on lithium-ion batteries? Two years ago during Black Friday, my sister bought herself and me a digital camera because of the great prices. It turns out the one she bought for me was lithium-ion powered and hers wasn't.
She really wants one that is, and mine was $130 and a Canon. I am having a hard time finding one because it seems the packages do not say if they are Double A battery-powered or Lithium-ion. I want to find one that's less than $200 for her as a present but need help.

You can type the same line into Google which will show other suppliers.
